Williams-Sonoma Chocolate Chip Cookies
For years I have been on the hunt for the best and easiest chocolate chip cookie recipe. One day, I needed to whip up a quick dessert and I only had one egg and one stick of butter to dedicate to the recipe. So what do I do? Consult Google of course! :) This recipe from Williams-Sonoma was the first to appear in the search results. I definitely wanted to give them a try because anything from Williams-Sonoma is incredible! Now these are among my favorite cookies! Here's how to make the best chocolate chip cookies ever!
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp fine sea salt
1 stick of unsalted butter, softened to room temperature (really important)
1/2 cup light brown sugar
6 TBSP granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp all natural vanilla
2 1/2 cups dark chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. In a bowl, sift together flour, baking soda and salt. In a mixer, blend together sugars and butter until creamy. Add in the egg and vanilla. Then mix on low until incorporated. Next, slowly add in the flour mixture one 1/4 cup at a time until just combined. Use a wooden spoon to gently stir in the chocolate chips. Place one heaping TBSP of dough two inches apart on the cookie sheet.
Bake for 10-12 minutes. Let the cookies cool for 5 minutes on the cookie sheet before transferring to a cooling rack. Enjoy with coffee, tea or a tall glass of cold milk or almond milk!
